Educational Qualifications
TS-TET Paper-I (Classes I to V):
TS-TET Paper-I is required for people who want to teach at the primary level (Classes I to V). For this level, the following school requirements must be met:
- General Candidates: General Candidates must have completed Intermediate or Senior Secondary school (or a similar) and received at least 50% of the points. They must also have a 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education, a 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or a 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled: The same qualifications as above, but with a minimum of 45% marks. Those admitted to D.El.Ed/D.Ed. before specific guidelines require 45% marks for general and 40% for reserved categories.
- Graduates: At least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor of Education (Special Education).
TS-TET Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII):
For individuals focusing on teaching at the upper primary level (Classes VI to VIII), TS-TET Paper II is mandatory. The educational qualifications for this level include:
- General Candidates: B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).

- Specialized Degrees: 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories), or Graduation with language concerned as one of the optional subjects and Language Pandit Training Certificate/B.Ed with language concerned as one of the Methodologies.
- B.E/B.Tech: At least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and passed/pursuing B.Ed. or B.Ed. (Special Education).
Age Limit
In order to be qualified for the TS TET 2024 test, students must be at least 18 years old. There is no upper age limit.

There is a Rs. 400/- test fee for those who want to take either Paper I (for Classes I to V) or Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII). You can use the online payment methods on the official TS TET website to repay the test fee.
